Expanding wealth management company Blue Sky Financial Planning has added another experienced professional to its ranks of experts.
Andrew Dunn’s appointment as Chartered Wealth Manager makes the Dorset-based firm’s team a record 15 strong.
Poole-headquartered Blue Sky delivers comprehensive financial planning advice and guidance to a wide variety of people.
Andrew – usually known as Gus – has joined from private banking and wealth management institution Coutts where he was a business partner based in Chandlers Ford.
Prior to Coutts he spent 25 years in a variety of leadership and management roles with NatWest Investments.
Gus said: “I am delighted to be joining Blue Sky Financial Planning. Gary and the entire team have a brilliant reputation.
“It is important to me to work with a company which has a strong ethical heart and a desire to work in true partnership with its clients.
“My specialism over many years has been investments, inheritance tax and creative but straightforward ways of helping people.
“My view has always been that wealth should have its intended consequences – whether that is protecting family money for future generations or making sure that finances permit a comfortable and worry-free life.
“The best financial planners are those that can take complicated, detailed elements of a wealth strategy and make them easy to understand as a whole and flexible enough to adapt to future needs.”
Blue Sky Financial Planning was established by managing director Gary Neild in 2002 and is known as the company that gives something back to the community.
Gary said: “We are very selective about who we employ at Blue Sky because candidates not only have to be experts in their field but also buy into the company ethos.
“Gus fits the bill perfectly and I am delighted to welcome him to Blue Sky where he will have a tremendous impact and fit in perfectly with our dedicated and hard-working team.
“His attributes include extensive experience advising and working with high net worth clients and he has demonstrated an ability to lead and work within a successful team.
“He has a very strong control and compliance record, boasts knowledge and experience across both wealth and credit solutions and has had demonstrable success in consistently delivering business goals.
“Blue Sky is continuing to expand organically and we are constantly on the look out for professional, experienced and personable people to join the team.”
Gus, who is married with two daughters, lives in West Moors and enjoys golf, snooker and history in his spare time.
