A year group at a Bournemouth school got a special kick when AFC Bournemouth star Dan Gosling turned up with a Yellow Bus.
The club and the bus company were delivering safety lessons at Queen’s Park Academy – but added some physical sports activities for the Year 6 students.
Dan Gosling is player ambassador for the Cherries Community Sport Trust’s ‘Soccer Safety School’ that is driving safety lessons into classrooms.
Yellow Buses is a sponsor and helping the club visit schools in the community where youngsters are taught how to stay safe.
Club mascot Cherry Bear and Yellow Buses’ mascot Buster Bear had a kick-about, but failed to impress Cherries’ star midfielder.

Steve Cuss, Bournemouth’s Head of Community, has developed the programme that is proving a hit across the conurbation.
He said: “Together with Yellow Buses we have been bringing fun safety lessons to schools for several years.
“The Safety Soccer School highlights the risks and dangers that children face when out playing.
“These involve road safety, which is something that Yellow Buses are experts in.
“On this visit we did a bit more than the safety lessons and had two physical elements in the playground.”
Midfielder Dan Gosling said: “It was great to meet all the children and to see them enjoying themselves and learning at the same time.”
