Bournemouth’s iconic new restaurant Neo is now under the control of Head Chef Chis Howard, with Executive Chef Kevin Viner moving into a consultancy role.
Kevin and Chris created the menu and ‘taste’ of Neo together and now Chris has the responsibility of taking the restaurant forward through the busy summer season and beyond.
Since opening just over a month ago, Neo has regularly been booked to capacity, and its coffee and cake are especially popular in the mornings.
There is also a new ‘café’ menu of accessible family food that is served between noon and 5.30pm downstairs and on the large sun terrace that overlooks the pier.
Upstairs, the à la carte menu is available for lunch and dinner and there is also an ‘express’ menu, ideal for pre-theatre supper or simple lunches.
Chris, who has worked in a number of fine restaurants around the country, said: “It’s been great working with Kevin, but now I have been served a wonderful opportunity to create something special.
“I have a number of exciting ideas for Neo and we have just introduced a ‘café’ menu.
“This includes sea food platters, sharing boards, shell fish, gourmet burgers and pasta dishes.
“We have created a casual, relaxed, friendly atmosphere and diners are often surprised how competitively priced we are.
“I’m hugely excited about the future and we are prepared for the busy summer months.”
Kevin said: “I’m extremely proud of what we’ve achieved at Neo and of the team now in place and I’ll remain involved on a consultancy basis.
“Chris is an excellent chef who will deliver fantastic food and continue to develop the restaurant.”
Neo is open seven days a week.
