Berry Recruitment in Cardiff has appointed Justin Howe as its new Operations Manager.
The recruiter has spent 12 years in the industry including six years with the government’s Welfare to Work programme.
He has a team of five at the offices in Cathedral Road which covers the ‘commercial’, ‘construction’, ‘industrial’, ‘catering’ and ‘driving’ sectors.
Justin said the market is candidate-driven at the moment as the economy remains buoyant.
He said: “We have remained busy especially in the commercial sector with office, administration and contact centre vacancies on the rise.
“We have won various new contracts supplying contact centre workers and we have a team dedicated to that specific area of recruitment.
“There has also been growth in our industrial, catering and driving divisions and confidence does not appear to have been affected by the Brexit vote so far.
“Since I started my career in recruitment in South Wales the requirement for skilled candidates has increased as there are now a lot more technical roles and the future does look positive.
“We are hoping to grow the branch here as we continue to take on new clients.”
Berry Recruitment has more than 30 branches across England and Wales and anticipates a turnover of over £70m this year.
