A free cyber security briefing is being held in Shrewsbury and will address the major issues that businesses and organisations face.
Staff from GoSecure will cover a variety of topics including internet security, social engineering and phishing, security architecture, compliance and The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The small team at GoSecure, a subsidiary of consultancy C3IA Solutions, has a combined experience of more than 70 years in the cyber security domain.
The briefing is being held at the Theatre Severn on May 18 from 10am until 3pm and is designed to be informative and educational, not as a sales or marketing event.
Noel Hannan, Cyber and Digital Innovation Lead at GoSecure, said: “Anyone with a professional interest in cyber security is welcome.
“Reaction from previous events was so positive we’ve decided to hold more of them. We’ve also welcomed students who are looking to go into the industry after their studies.
“The cyber-security sector is growing at an astonishing rate and this briefing will give people a better understanding of the threats we all face and how to go about dealing with them.
“Often we’re surprised how little people know, and often they’re surprised about how making a few small changes can dramatically increase their cyber security.
“We have a great deal of experience between us, both in the public and private sectors, and are always ready to answer questions.”
