A long-standing recruitment business in Croydon has moved into new offices as it continues to expand.
The team at Berry Recruitment is now situated in Selsdon Road, an easier loaction for candidates to get to.
With the jobs market short of candidates, manager Jennifer Harvey believes that having a more easily accessible office will assist in attracting workers.
Being positioned among other businesses including shops in a busy area means a significant increase in footfall.
Recent figures showed the jobless rate now stands at 4.4% – its lowest since 1975 – but also a lack of candidates.
Berry Recruitment is part of the national recruiter Berry Recruitment Group and works in the office, industrial and driving sectors.
Jennifer said: “Our old offices were not ideal as we couldn’t sit together as a team.
“Our new office was selected to fit our high quality recruitment service and it really benefits us and our clients.
“We also have free roadside parking for 30 minutes which helps.
“Like all recruiters we are seeking candidates; it is very much a candidate-led market.
“We are very busy which is an indicator of a strong economy and we are now seeing an increase in wages.
“We intend to grow our team here and are looking for new consultants.”
