Ann Evans, VeriSmart Inventories’ new Head of Training
The Dorset-based national property inventory company VeriSmart Inventories has appointed Ann Evans as Head of Training.
VeriSmart’s licensees use the company’s own copyrighted systems to create paper-free property inventories for landlords and letting agents.
So successful has the software and business model been that there are now more than 100 members of VeriSmart across the country.
This rapid expansion demanded a dedicated Head of Training, a role to which Ann has now been appointed.
She has been with VeriSmart for 12 years and has worked as a licensee herself for the last six.
Ann, originally from Swansea and now living in Bournemouth, said: “Each new licensee spends three days with me so I can get to know them and begin training.
“Having been a licensee myself I know exactly what they are going through and what questions they will have.
“Some have previous business experience and others don’t, but might have other skills – so training varies according to the licensee.
“Training covers general business, sales as well as the practical day-to-day requirements of the job.
“VeriSmart’s systems are totally paper-free – and so is the training. After the initial three days, training continues online and also over video link.
“We also hold ‘webinars’ in which licensees are encouraged to share best practice and tips – and camaraderie is built among them.
“I’m a huge believer in the benefit of online training because licensees can do it when they have time.
“We are developing modular training programmes that I hope will become accredited in the future – and also personal development plans, which can be extremely helpful.
“And as we are growing so quickly we have plans for regional training teams.
“I have a background in sales and in training so this role is perfect for my skills and it’s exciting to be part of such a fast-growing business.
“As always we are looking for new licensees to get on board.”
