The London office of top 10 accountancy firm and business advisor Azets has delivered double-digit growth and made experienced new hires.
It has recorded 14% year-on-year revenue growth, with significant increase in demand for audit from larger corporates as well as its broad client base including SMEs and Owner Managed Businesses (OMBs).
Based at London Bridge, the expanding office has also been strengthened by a series of key appointments to support further strategic growth in the lively audit and business advisory market.
Experienced accountancy and tax professionals Ravi Hungsraz and Melanie Prestwich are the latest to be recruited – following a number of hires and promotions over the summer.
Ravi has joined as a partner in the audit and business advisory team and Melanie takes up a position as a corporate tax partner.
They have been welcomed to Azets’ London Bridge offices in King William Street by regional managing partner Ian Jefferson.
Ian said: “Following a significant period of growth, recruiting two new partners of the calibre of Melanie and Ravi is a major coup for Azets and our London office.
“Both bring an exceptional amount of talent, experience and expertise to support Azets’ diverse and expanding client base in the London area.
“Melanie and Ravi will play significant roles in Azets’ ambitious growth plans for the London office as we continue to grow our team, provide valuable professional advice and seize greater market share across multiple sectors.”
Melanie is a tax specialist with 26 years of experience including partner and managing director positions at firms nationwide.
She delivers commercial, practical tax advice in often complex matters for clients including family and OMBs and their associated private individuals.
Melanie said: “I join Azets at an exciting time as the firm and its London office continue on an impressive growth journey.
“Its values and business priorities align neatly with my own and I am looking forward to contributing to the success of our many valued clients going forward.”
Ravi is an experienced business advisor who has joined Azets after working in well-established, mid-tier London accountancy firms for the last 16 years.
He advises OMBs as well as large international organisations on a range of services such as accounting, audit and assurance and tax advisory.
Ravi works with clients from diverse sectors but has developed a focus on professional services such as solicitors and architects, travel, hospitality and leisure, and group audits of international companies reporting under the UK regime.
Being a fluent French speaker, he has also gathered significant knowledge and expertise to assist French businesses in the UK with their accounting, audit and compliance requirements.
Ravi said: “Azets is perfectly positioned within the capital’s lively and business advisory market.
“We have the experience, knowledge and expertise to support the diverse range of businesses whatever their size or nationality.”
As well as serving larger corporates and OMBs, Azets is the UK’s largest regional accounting firm and specialist business advisor to SMEs.
Earlier this year, Jon Allen, previously at Merlin Entertainments, was appointed as head of lead advisory M&A and Simon Nichols joined from KPMG as head of transaction services with the corporate finance team in London.
Dan Jonas, corporate finance, was promoted to partner and Joshua Vincent became a director.
Gary Tamkin became audit partner for both the Hertford and London offices, having arrived from Deloitte.
