A multi-award-winning Fareham company is setting its sight on its most successful Farnborough International Airshow so far.

Barnbrook Systems Ltd will be showcasing and launching innovative new products when it attends the iconic event for the 11th consecutive time from Monday July 11 to Friday July 15.

More than 100,000 trade visitors are expected during the week along with 1,500 aerospace and defence companies from 39 countries.

The bi-ennial airshow will then be open to the public from July 15 to 17 with another 100,000 visitors set to enjoy a host of exhibitions, attractions, activities and aerial displays, including the Red Arrows.

Family firm Barnbrook Systems will be based in a prominent position on stand B120 in exhibition hall one with the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC) during the week.

Managing director Tony Barnett met PM David Cameron on the opening day of the last airshow in 2014.

Andrew Barnett, chief technology officer at Barnbrook Systems, said: “Farnborough International Airshow is the most important event in our business calendar in 2016.

Forty-strong Barnbrook Systems is a leading designer, developer and manufacturer of many types of electro-mechanical and electronic switching devices for multiple sectors.

Airshow stand is largest yet

Andrew, MD Tony and head of engineering Keith Smith will head Barnbrook’s largest team so far at Farnborough.

Andrew recently became membership chairman of the FAC, a not-for-profit organisation which is the longest established aerospace and defence trade body in the UK.

Barnbrook Systems is also a long-serving member of aerospace, defence, security and space group ADS. It is a prime contractor and subcontractor to the UK MOD, overseas Governments and many other major companies.

Its customers include Leonardo-Finmeccanica, BAE Systems, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, Gulfstream, Safran, GE Aviation and Eaton.
