Tony Lock, Berry Recruitment’s manager in Kent

Berry Recruitment Group (BRG) has appointed Tony Lock as its operations manager in Kent.

The highly experienced recruiter heads a team of nine at the modern offices in Pudding Lane, Maidstone.

The branch is one of 36 locations that BRG operates from across England and Wales.

Tony, a father of four, has been in the industry for 20 years, with all but four of those working at management level.

The branch works in the hospitality, catering, driving, industrial and commercial sectors, placing both temporary and permanent candidates.

Tony said: “Berry Recruitment is a family-owned business and that really comes through.

“There is an emphasis on compliance and service and the training from the moment I started has been marvellous.

“There is real camaraderie and a healthy competitiveness between branches.

“What particularly stands out is how flexible Berry is – we tailor our approach for each client.

“I have worked in Kent for the vast majority of my career and the potential here is huge.

“We intend to grow the branch and recruit for ourselves, especially in the commercial division; there is a great deal of work in the office and professional areas.

“We’re always looking for good candidates.”

Berry Recruitment managing director Lee Gamble said: “Tony has a proven track record managing successful teams and he knows the area well.

“Our Kent branch covers the whole county and there is a great team there which has huge potential.”

BRG recently reported an increase in turnover of £3m to a £65m.
