Bournemouth’s Hotel of the Year takes a day trip to Brum

Bournemouth’s Hotel of the Year will showcase its specialist breaks at the Group Leisure & Travel Show for the first time this month.

The family-run Marsham Court Hotel signed up for the show (at the NEC on October 20, 2016) after seeing a sharp rise in group travel business from the Midlands.

The Marsham Court has been run by Jennie Deavin and her family for the last 30 years and was named Large Hotel of the Year at the Bournemouth Tourism Awards 2016.

The Edwardian-built 87-room property looks out over Bournemouth bay and offers an array of specialist breaks, including dance, Whist, bowls, watercolour painting and the ancient game of Mahjong.

Business Development Manager, Jane Swift, said: “We’re very excited to be exhibiting at the Group Leisure & Travel Show.

“Our group travel business is already 20% up on last year, with a large proportion of that business coming from the Midlands and we are hoping this prestigious show will enable us to make even more connections.”

She added: “Travel providers tell us they appreciate our easy transport links, large car park and excellent service.

“And our guests love that they can come and indulge in their favourite pastimes in a beautiful hotel by the sea.”

The Marsham Court hosts its own specialist breaks and also independent specialist breaks.
