Business forum scouts for talent

Niall Cluley, Partner and Director of the consultancy Dragonfish will address the issue of attracting the right talent at the next Connect HR Forum.

The latest Connect HR Forum hosted by TeamJobs, TeamExecutive and Steele Raymond LLP Solicitors will address how businesses can attract the right talent.

The popular quarterly forum, held at Steele Raymond’s client suite in Richmond Hill, Bournemouth will feature guest speaker Niall Cluley, Managing Director of the south coast based global culture consultancy Dragonfish which has worked with businesses including Carnival UK, The National Trust, Ordnance Survey, Itsu and Ann Summers.

The last time Niall addressed the forum it was heavily over-subscribed and an impromptu Q&A was added to cope with the high volume of delegate questions.

He said: “I’m excited to be invited back to the Connect HR Forum to share our latest insights and be part of such a critical debate around attracting the right talent to your business.

“As we all know, high performing cultures don’t just happen.

“People want to work in an environment that engages them, supports them and most importantly has a sense of purpose with values aligned to their own.

“I will be talking about what businesses can do to attract the best talent to support their vision and purpose, exploring the watch outs (with forum resident solicitor Amy’s help) and also what proactive steps can be taken should there be a mis-match between company culture and employee values.”

The Connect HR Forum started in January 2018 to enable human resources professionals and business leaders to discuss the hot topics affecting business, from harassment to data protection and staff engagement.

It is hosted by TeamExecutive – the executive search associate brand of Poole and Bournemouth-based recruitment specialist TeamJobs – which works with SMEs on a national and international basis to deliver leaders in senior positions up to Board level.

The event will also welcome back its regular legal expert, Amy Cousineau-Massey, Associate Solicitor & Head of Employment Law at Steele Raymond.

Sally Bennett, Executive Manager of TeamExecutive said: “The Forum’s interactive format is very popular. People mix, engage and as a result stimulating discussions take place and valuable relationships are formed.

“This shows that Connect HR is doing exactly what it was set up to do – educate, inform and ultimately encourage businesses to work more effectively together.”

The Connect HR Forum takes place on Thursday 23rd May, from 8:45am-11:00am at Steele Raymond, 43 Richmond Hill, Bournemouth BH2 6LR.

The event is free to attend but spaces are limited and all delegates must pre-register.
