An expanding legal services firm with a difference is celebrating a landmark achievement.

Hybrid Legal has signed 20 clients to its distinctive Legal Plus plan in just six months.

The Southampton-based firm – setting out to challenge the legal profession’s status quo – offers clients the transparency of fixed fees.

Hybrid marked the occasion with a drinks party for clients at Hambledon Vineyard, Hampshire.

Managing director Ryan Lisk said: “We are a law firm – but not as you know it. We see ourselves as the disruptive, modern equivalent to more traditional firms.

“We provide our clients with the best of both worlds; the high quality advice of a premium law firm, combined with the benefit of a commercially focused fixed fee service.”

Hybrid, was founded in 2013 by Ryan and is headquartered in Threefield Lane, Southampton.

The firm keeps overheads down by maintaining a lean core staff but benefits from a broad team of experienced associates.

Hybrid launched the Legal Plus fixed fee legal support plan this year with the objective of helping start-up and growing firms develop their businesses.

Ryan added: “Our ethos is to help clients grow. By spreading the cost of legal services through our novel monthly fixed fee plan we can help their cash flow.

“Our competitive fees are completely transparent, we work flexibly and proactively and we strive for long-term relationships – growing as our clients grow. We focus on the client experience.”

These clients include an international aerospace business, a Brazilian restaurant chain, a brand experience agency, a tech start up, and most recently a London events and exhibition studio.

Ryan, who lives in Hampshire, had previously set up his own business at the age of 21 after graduating with a first class honours degree from Bristol Law School.

He said: “We have had a fantastic start, but want to keep the momentum going. We have lofty ambitions over the next three to five years and are certainly not resting on our laurels.

“We are recruiting additional support staff and our immediate intention is to secure more clients and expand from our core area.”

Hybrid works in sectors across the board, including start-ups, SMEs, e-commerce, technology, retail, hospitality and leisure, marketing, music and film, media, creative and professional services.

Services include advising on company corporate structures, drafting and advising on commercial contracts, protecting intellectual property and providing a wide range of employment law related support and services.
