Stage set for DCCI events and marketing manager

A new events and marketing manager is set to help drive further growth at Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).

Stuart Dixon has stepped into the critical role at the leading business support organisation as it continues to modernise and expand.

He is aiming to bolster the Chamber’s packed programme of more than 100 events and introduce new initiatives for its 800 members.

DCCI moves to next level

Stuart, 39, who becomes the Chamber’s 17th member of staff, said: “I am delighted to join DCCI, it’s a new and exciting challenge for me.

“I’m looking to make a big impact and to lead the events and marketing team to new heights in delivering unrivalled value to our growing membership.

“I have a bright and talented team with big ambitions. I intend for members to start to see some fantastic things from us in the coming months.”

Southampton Solent University graduate Stuart is a digital marketing specialist, passionate about content marketing, with a strong background in project management, digital marketing campaigns and strategies.

His most recent position was head of digital at RT Brand Communications Ltd.

He has also held positions at Lush, SDX Digital Solutions, Five by Five, Imagine Publishing, Highbury Entertainment and Paragon Publishing.

Chief executive Ian Girling said: “Stuart is the perfect fit for DCCI and our growing membership.

“With a tremendous skillset, he is experienced, ambitious and committed to taking DCCI to the next stage of its development.”

Ian added: “Stuart’s appointment comes at an exciting time with the EU referendum and as DCCI seeks to deliver even higher quality support and benefits for its members.”

DCCI, the voice of business in Dorset, is the only chamber in the county accredited to the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC). Its members employ more than 37,000 staff locally.

Its affiliated chambers include Weymouth and Portland, Broadstone, Dorchester, Poole, Bridport, Ferndown and Shaftesbury with Swanage due to join soon.
