Deep South Media was formed 20 years ago and we celebrated our anniversary with an evening at the Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth – one of our valued clients.
We were founded by newspaper editor Gareth Weekes who is pictured fifth from right at the back of this photograph.
The business evolved from a magazine publisher to become the UK specialist in cost-effective newsroom services for companies and organisations.
We now work for more than 60 clients across a diverse range of sectors, saving clients up to 75% of the salaried cost of an in-house press officer/public relations executive/media relations manager.
With his trademark humour and self-deprecating style, executive chairman Gareth paid tribute to past and present staff who have been part of Deep South Media’s success.
The firm employs 14 staff, including 13 former daily news journalists and a picture editor, and covers southern England.
Managing director Ron Wain said: “This is a milestone anniversary for any company, large or small. Deep South Media’s 20th anniversary is testament to how the business continues to evolve organically, providing trusted digital content to companies and organisations.”
