Free business expo in Bournemouth

Partners and finalists of this year’s Dorset Business Awards.

A business expo with more than 70 stands is free to all and is part of Dorset Chamber’s Dorset Business Festival.

Taking place Between 9am and 12noon on Wednesday 11th October, the event will be held at The Hilton, Bournemouth.

There will be opportunities to network and be among like-minded businesspeople.

The event offers a great opportunity to build connections and discover new services and tools.

There will be exhibitors from a whole host of sectors including AI, hospitality, energy and professional services.

The four-day festival also includes the newly returned ‘Dorset Business Awards’ as well as a first-of-its-kind conference entitled The Future of Business.

It includes some top speakers and will be looking at ‘AI’, ‘ESG’, ‘Skills’, the ‘Future Workplace’ and ‘Town Centre Regeneration’.

Speakers include David Smith, economics editor of the Sunday Times and the paper’s chief leader-writer, assistant editor and policy adviser. He has also written books on economics.

The event features five panel discussions with thought-leaders and big business names.

Panels will be hosted by LBC’s business commentator Declan Curry, a journalist and broadcaster for more than 30 years.

Ian Girling, chief executive of the Chamber, said: “This is the biggest business week in the Chamber’s history.

“And the expo element is completely free and we hope many people come along and take advantage of all the opportunities, including networking.

“We have more than 70 stands and the event is part of the festival during which we’ll be looking positively at the future of business and how companies can pivot, adapt and forge ahead.

“We have a superb venue at the Hilton and our conference has some magnificent speakers.

“As a Chamber we want to see the county’s businesses booming and this festival is aimed at helping them do just that.”
