BRG are winners at global awards

Chris Chown, MD of BRG – Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.

Berry Recruitment Group celebrated another year’s success at its annual awards ceremony which was held at the Globe Theatre in London.

Almost 200 of its staff from 36 branches across the country gathered at the iconic venue to congratulate the winners.

The group presented several long service awards as well as ‘board recognition’ awards, ‘star performer’ awards, ‘best rookie’ awards as well as the best billers and branches.

Staff from its growing head office operation in St Albans also received awards for their efforts.

BRG has a number of brands including Berry Recruitment, Wild Recruitment, Wild Berry Associates and Express Rail Services and employs well in excess of 200 people.

The replica Elizabethan playhouse on the banks of the Thames that is associated with Shakespeare proved an extremely popular venue.

The winners took to the stage to receive their awards from director Spencer Berry.

MD of the group, Chris Chown, congratulated them and said: “After our recent acquisition of Joy Recruitment in South East London we now have 36 branches.

“They cover the whole country from Cornwall in the South West to Darlington in the North East.

“Our growth is also organic with branches growing in size as we continue to recruit high quality consultants for ourselves.

“We enjoyed another successful year in which turnover reached almost £66m with a healthy profit expected when the accounts are completed.

“This year has begun very positively and with the jobs market as it is we anticipate further growth as demand for our services increases.”
