TeamJobs is continuing to strengthen its position in Bournemouth by relocating its popular HR Forum to the town.
Specialist recruitment firm – and Dorset Company of the Year 2015 – TeamJobs established its HR Forum in April 2014 to forge connections between local businesses.
The quarterly informal gatherings are now over-subscribed.
TeamJobs’ Managing Director, Jason Gault, said: “The HR Forum has moved from its previous venue at the Salterns Harbourside Hotel in Poole, to the offices of the law firm Steele Raymond in Richmond Hill, Bournemouth.”
He explained: “While Poole remains key to our business with its high volume of engineering and manufacturing businesses, Bournemouth has witnessed a huge expansion in hospitality, digital and technology based industry and our many new clients have told us they want us on their doorsteps.
“For this reason we moved our entire Commercial division from Poole to Bournemouth in February this year.
“Our Hospitality division had already been set up in Bournemouth last summer.
“And moving our HR Forum to Bournemouth is a natural progression.”
The first Bournemouth HR Forum welcomed 25 delegates from companies including Dorset Jordans & Ryvita, Celebration Crackers, Ferndown Commercials and Bournemouth Water.
Guest speaker Paula Marande, Organisational Development Adviser at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in Poole, gave a fascinating presentation about the charity’s recent Flexi Feb scheme which sought to promote flexible working among its 1300 employees.
Following a lively discussion Steele Raymond employment law specialist – and resident HR Forum legal spokesman, Amy Cousineau-Massey – gave an informative overview of newly-introduced legislation regarding flexible working.
Jason Gault added: “Today’s Forum had a real buzz about it – in fact people were so engaged that it overran.
“I’m pleased it continues to provide an invaluable place for local companies’ HR professionals to meet and share information and we are very grateful to Steele Raymond for allowing us the use of their stunning client suite for this and future Forums.”
