A specialist Hampshire law firm is celebrating its second major company success of the autumn.

Just weeks after launching its innovative fixed-fee Enhance service for business clients, DC Employment Solicitors has been promoted to the ‘premier league’ of employment lawyers in the legal industry’s annual global guide to service quality.

Already a ‘Leading Firm’ in the Legal 500, the Southampton-based practice has seen three successive year-on-year rises in the guide’s rankings and has now reached the very top – Tier 1.

The firm has been specifically praised this year for its “phenomenal response times and technical knowledge that is, without doubt, exceptional” and for providing ‘spot-on’ advice”.

The independent guide reads: “The sizeable team handles the gamut of employment, labour relations and immigration matters. In addition to handling HR advisory work, other recent work includes acting in a number of tribunal cases involving discrimination and unfair dismissal claims, acting for a commercial client in respect of its decision to derecognise a trade union, and representing a managing director in a dispute with his company”.

DC Employment’s three partner lawyers are singled out for individual acclaim. Darren Tibble is said to be ‘exceptional in his interpretation of a situation and getting to the core issue’, Daryl Cowan is ‘very personable and commercially aware’ and Laurence Dunn provides ‘superb advice and support’. Senior Solicitor Kirsty Alleyne is praised for being ‘well regarded’.

Daryl described the result as “a huge, independent vote of confidence in the excellence of our work with clients and the flexible packages and options we deliver to suit them.”

The top-tier ranking comes amid launch activity for DC Employment’s new Enhanced fixed-fee service, offering individually tailored packages for business advice and support on a retained basis.

Among the clients to welcome the launch of the new service is Chandlers Ford-based industrial components supplier Blue Diamond Technologies.

Managing Director Richard Worley said: “I would recommend Enhance to others. It helps you to concentrate on running your business as opposed to worrying about catching every single nuance of employment law.”

DC Employment has grown into a 12-strong team since it was first established in 2008.  The firm celebrated its tenth anniversary in July of this year.

As well as employment law expertise, the firm offers HR consultancy and business immigration services.

Published annually for 30 years, the Legal 500 aims to provide a definitive guide to the capabilities of law firms in more than 90 countries.

The annual listings are acted on by commercial and private clients, corporate counsel, professional advisers and other referrers of legal work.
