From elite athletes to performing arts students, the wonderful wealth of talent which can be found at Bournemouth’s LeAF Studio was celebrated at a special awards ceremony.
This school provides a unique education and training for the area’s most talented young sports stars and performing arts students aged 13 to 19.
Altogether, 23 awards were given out to students, recognising their individual successes in sport and the Arts.
Principal of the LeAF Studio, Nadine Lapskas, said: “With so many talented students it was a hard task nominating and selecting our winners.
“The awards’ evening was a resounding success and gave us the chance to share the many achievements across the disciplines with parents and the community.”
Awards included: individual sports male and female; actor of the year (male and female); musician of the year and dancer of the year.
Overall sportsman and sportswoman of the year awards went to powerlifter and Commonwealth gold medalist Farris Collins and British Elite Duathlon Champion Serena O’Connor.
Male performer of the year was World Champion ballroom dancer Oliver Beardmore and in the female category there were joint winners – singer, actress and dancer Isabelle Flutter and singer, actress and dancer Jordan Pegg.
The students’ choice award went to actress and singer Cerys Edwards and the Executive Principal’s Award went to actress and dancer Kara Woodford and volleyball and media Harry Jones.
