WINGS: Some of the brave members of staff from Ellis Jones Solicitors who are tackling The Big Jump for Julia’s House

Daredevils from regional law firm Ellis Jones Solicitors are set for a sponsored skydive in aid of a children’s hospice charity.

The seven-strong team of legal eagles are taking the leap in The Big Jump for Julia’s House on April 23 near Salisbury.

They hope to raise more than £3,000 from the fundraiser for the charity, which has hospices in Dorset and Wiltshire.

Team captain Georgina Wright has recruited brave skydivers from the law firm’s five offices on the south coast and London.

Georgina, who is marketing and events manager at Ellis Jones, said: “Julia’s House provides practical and emotional support for families that are facing unimaginable heartbreak: the knowledge that their child may not live into adulthood.

“It provides frequent, flexible care for children with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition and support families in their own homes, in the community or at hospices and gives their parents a much-needed break.

“We have a squad of brave Ellis Jones staff who are willing to jump for such a great cause and we would be grateful for any sponsorship to help Julia’s House to continue to support so many families at a time when they need it most.”

Also taking flight with Georgina will be Lauren Day, Chris Holt, Howard Hasan, Georgia Martin, Sam Smith and Rebecca Dao.

Julia’s House has children’s hospices in Corfe Mullen, Dorset, and Devizes in Wiltshire. As well as inpatients, more than 65 per cent of its care is community based.

Ellis Jones has more than 170 staff, including 21 partners, in offices in Bournemouth, Poole, Ringwood, Swanage and Wimborne as well as London.

Staff from the legal firm regularly raise money and donate for local causes and charities, which have recently included Lewis Manning Hospice Care, Walk for Wards and Variety Wessex.
