Make a date for this year’s spectacular Wessex Country Fair at Wilton House on Sunday, August 6 between 10am and 5pm.
The annual event promises everything from birds of prey displays and gundog skills to dressage camels and steam vehicles.
All profits from the event on the historic home’s beautiful parkland go to Salisbury Hospice which organises the fair.
Property consultancy Myddelton & Major is sponsoring this year’s fifth annual country fair.
Established in 1903, Myddelton & Major is a well-known, Salisbury-based firm of high street estate agents and chartered surveyors handling the sale, letting and management of quality residential properties across the region – as well as having an extensive commercial department.
Partner Philip Holford said: “This is a wonderful family-friendly day out in a beautiful location and raises funds for an exceptional charity.
“As a long-established Salisbury business, we are more than pleased to be able to make our modest contribution to such a worthwhile cause.
“Why not go along to this excellent event, where there really is something for everyone, and help make a difference at the same time.”
Attractions this year include archery, pony rides, local crafts, a static display of vintage cars, a climbing wall and a petting zoo – as well as an exciting programme of attractions in the main arena.
The hospice’s clinical staff will be in their own marquee serving up a range of hot and cold food and drinks along with plenty of delicious homemade cakes, plus entertainment from Shrewton Silver Band.
All funds raised from the Wessex Country Fair will go towards the £2.2 million needed each year to run Salisbury Hospice which provides care for almost 1,000 people each year.
The hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to tens of thousands of patients and their families.
Country fair tickets are adults £7, children (aged 3-15) £4, family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) £20 and under 3s free and can be bought on the day.
