A Portsmouth property surveying practice has expanded its structural engineering department under an ambitious recruitment drive.

He joins the 33-strong firm as it continues to create jobs and seeks to hire upto 10 new staff this year, including CAD technicians, mechanical engineers and general practice and residential surveyors.

McAndrew Martin has already welcomed a series of new employees as it enters the next phase of its growth following a restructuring into six divisions.

Managing director Bill McAndrew said: “Demand continues to rise for our multi-disciplinary services, including our structural engineering expertise.

“I am pleased to welcome Michele, as skilled and committed structural engineers of his calibre can be difficult to recruit.  I am sure he will be a valuable addition to our expert and experienced team.”

Bill added: ‘We anticipate more appointments in 2017 to meet increased volumes of work and deliver an even greater service for clients whilst also supporting the local economy and property sector.”

The expansion of the structural engineering department comes in response to new workloads driven by large MoD projects and commercial contracts.
