A Portsmouth-based firm with nationwide reach has been rated as one of the leading property consultants in the UK.

McAndrew Martin has risen up the rankings in the industry’s Top 150 Consultants for 2017, published by Building magazine.

The company has broken into the league table’s top 100 places for the first time at 97 – up from 108 in 2015, 136 in 2014 and 166 in 2013.

It follows major growth with expansion in headcount, offices and annual fees after the company restructured into six directorates in 2016.

Managing director Bill McAndrew said: “This success is a testament to the hard work of all of our staff.

“We have recorded exponential growth over the past two years after our successful restructuring into six distinct directorates.

“As a multi-disciplinary business with nationwide reach we pride ourselves on our ability to meet individual client requirements and provide an overarching service with full end to end design solutions, so we are delighted to receive this recognition.

“We are committed to providing even greater levels of customer service and professional support as we continue to grow and aim to move further up the rankings in coming years.”

McAndrew Martin, which has a head office in Portsmouth and a London office at Waterloo, has experienced about 20% year on year growth in its position in the table and chartered staff numbers. It has recorded a 10% year on year increase in turnover.

McAndrew Martin unveiled its new corporate structure and ‘Professional Solutions by Design’ strapline at the iconic Gherkin skyscraper in September 2016.

Its six disciplines are building surveying, project management and contract administration, mechanical and electrical engineering, structural engineering, architecture and general practice.
