National award shortlist for young surveyor Todd

Apprentice surveyor Todd Arnison has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

Todd, of Southampton-based independent property tax specialists E3 Consulting, is a finalist in the RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year 2018.

The awards scheme is run by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the professional body that accredits professionals within the land, property, construction, and infrastructure sectors worldwide.

NATIONAL AWARD FINALIST: Todd Arnison, 23, property tax surveyor at E3 Consulting of Ocean Village, Southampton, who has been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year in the RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year 2018 awards

Todd, 23, is flying the flag for Hampshire on the 12-person shortlist for Apprentice of the Year 2018 and is up against finalists in seven categories for the overall Young Surveyor award.

Property tax surveyor Todd, who joined Ocean Village headquartered E3 Consulting in November 2017, must now wait until the awards dinner on November 30 at the Riverbank Park Plaza, London, to see if he has triumphed.

He is currently commencing his second year of a five-year Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship – working towards the new BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree and qualification as a full chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) at the University of Portsmouth through day release from E3 Consulting one day a week.

He said: “It is deeply satisfying to have been named on the shortlist, being recognised for my accomplishments to date. It is a massive achievement for me and I am so grateful to have been put forward for the award by E3 Consulting.”

Alun Oliver, founder and managing director of E3 Consulting, said: “We are so pleased for Todd and this accolade is fully deserved. He has settled in brilliantly and is now an integral part of our team and does not hesitate to go the extra mile for clients.

“His calm professionalism and thoroughness has been lauded in relation to client projects and he also works with E3 Consulting colleagues to deliver on sales, marketing, and operational aspects of the business.

“It’s great that Todd has been shortlisted and we all have our fingers crossed for the final announcement in November.”

Anna Keys, head of judges and RICS Matrics chairman 2018-19, said: “The standard of entries was particularly high this year with an impressive array of inspirational role models.

“Our nominees have achieved a milestone towards the accolade of Young Surveyor of the Year – being shortlisted, is something in itself to be celebrated.”

In May 2018 Todd received his Level 3 certificate in Coaching and Mentoring from the Chartered Management Institution. He is also involved with Rotary, planning charity events and actively networking by regularly attending groups such as Southampton Property Association and Young Entrepreneurs in Property.

Keen sportsman Todd, who has just resumed playing rugby with Southampton club Tottonians and also enjoys horse riding, grew up in the city and attended school and college in Totton.
