A Dorset steel construction company has provided expertise for the construction of a £7.3m Jaguar Land Rover showroom in the Midlands.
John Reid & Son Ltd (REIDsteel) worked on the new complex for the Jardine Motors Group in Wolverhampton through main contractor Speller Metcalfe.
The Christchurch-based company met all of the propriety design requirements for the erection of structural steelwork, cladding and decking for the state-of-the-art showroom.
Jordan Laker, REIDsteel project engineer, said: “The Jaguar Land Rover dual branded facilities showroom with the Jardine Motors Group was an exciting development to be involved in and the finished showroom looks superb.
“Jardine is a leading national retail network and this will be one of the largest Jaguar Land Rover dual branded facilities in the country.
“We worked closely with Speller Metcalfe to meet the propriety requirements of Jaguar Land Rover to create a flagship building which reflects the quality and excellence for which the company is known.
“The automotive retail sector is a growth area for REIDsteel and we anticipate focusing on similar schemes in the near future.”
Midlands-based Speller Metcalfe is a national building contractor and family owned business with more than 240 staff and a £140m annual turnover.

Speller Metcalfe’s Wolverhampton office led the project, which also included a repair centre.
Jardine Motors Group operates more than 70 franchises nationwide and represents more than 20 Brands and operates the Wolverhampton site under its Lancaster retail network brand.

REIDsteel also recently designed, manufactured and supplied all of the steelwork, cladding and glazing for a £1.5m hospitality centre at the Thruxton Motorsports Centre in Hampshire.
The 130-strong company, based in Christchurch, Dorset, has the capability to design, manufacture and supply entire steel buildings including their cladding and or glazing requirements anywhere in the UK, Europe and the world.
