A Dorset-headquartered fire and security business is looking for six new staff to join its swelling ranks as it continues to expand.
Sentinel Fire and Security has grown rapidly in the last two years and has 11 staff based in Fancy Road, Poole.
The engineering-led business has grown organically with its problem-solving skills leading to more and more business.
Founded by experienced engineers Aaron Keith and Niall Harper, the business covers all aspects of fire and security but has a specialty in the assisted-living sector.
It hasn’t any sales staff, relying on referrals and reputation to drive new instructions from an ever-growing client-base.
Its business model has been so successful that it is struggling to find enough staff to cope.
Aaron said: “Since launching, we have placed an emphasis on finding engineering solutions for clients that other businesses perhaps couldn’t achieve.
“This led to a lot of repeat business and referrals which have driven our growth – and now we are looking for up to six new staff.
“We need another five installers and we’re hoping to take on some apprentices and train them ourselves. We also need an admin assistant.”
Niall added: “We believe we have the best engineers in the sector and we’d train our apprentices to be just as good.
“Our reputation has grown because of our high standards and it is why we haven’t had the need for a sales team.
“We work across Dorset, Hampshire, Sussex and Wiltshire and will expand further in time.
“Our priority now though is finding the right new staff for the business.”
