Commercial premises believed to date from 1510 in Colchester city centre are coming up for auction later this month.

Historic 37 North Hill is among 147 lots in the latest auction being held by one of the top five property auctioneers in the UK, Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

It is listed with a freehold guide price of £190,000 to £200,000 and vacant possession at the firm’s auction which ends on Wednesday 20 March.

Regional Director & Auctioneer Paul Bridgeman said: “This established and characterful commercial premises is situated in Colchester city centre, which is thriving with shopping, bars and restaurants, recreational facilities and transportation links including railway stations connecting to London (Liverpool Street).

“The property (parts of which are believed to date back to 1510), comprises a ground floor sales area, basement and upper parts which were formerly held on a leasehold basis as residential accommodation.

“There may be potential to reinstate the residential status of the upper parts, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.
