At one Dorset school children can enjoy a colourful reminder of their Christian faith.

St Michael’s CE Middle School in Wimborne has seen one of its walls transformed into a work of art, depicting Biblical stories.

And the creation was made possible thanks to professional illustrator Bridie Cheeseman, who supports the school in her spare time.

Headteacher, Ron Jenkinson, said: “We love to celebrate our God given talents both in and out of school and our new wall mural does just that.

“Miss Cheeseman’s incredible talents have produced a piece of work, which helps pupils focus and reflect during our Collective Worship.”

St Michael’s CE Middle School is one of 11 first and middle schools that make up Wimborne Academy Trust (WAT).

WAT CEO, Liz West, said: “This is an outstanding new feature at St Michael’s and really enhances the school’s Christian ethos.

“I’m sure the whole school must be proud of their new wall mural.”
