A buddy-system that launched in Ferndown last year has been highly commended in the mayor’s Volunteer Awards. Ferndown Community Connectors is headed by PramaLife, the community outreach programme, and helps those in the town who have lost confidence.

Everybody needs good neighbours

A new community initiative in Corfe Mullen has been created for the benefit of the elderly, vulnerable and infirm who need help around the house. The East Dorset Good Neighbour Scheme was officially launched at St Nicholas Church when Cllr Paul Harrison cut the ribbon.
