Acid jazz and funk pioneers The Brand New Heavies are to play in Bournemouth – after a fan asked them to perform in memory of his mum. Steve Heald, from Ferndown, who is being assisted by AE Jolliffe & Son of Douch Family Funeral Directors, will donate all profits of the concert to UK Dementia Research Institute.

More than 120 delegates attended three seminars about dementia hosted by Dorset’s Douch Family Funeral Directors. Speakers addressed packed rooms at the funeral group’s branches in Blandford, Parkstone and Corfe Mullen.
