All aboard! New staff at Yellow Buses

Dane Marshall and Catalina Picoiu – new starters for Yellow Buses

A pair of new marketing staff have hopped aboard Yellow Buses for the year and will be helping to drive forward the company’s profile.

Dane Marshall is on placement from Bournemouth University and Catalina Picoiu has just completed a degree at Solent University in Southampton.

Both will spend 12 months in the busy marketing department, helping to promote the business that has been transporting passengers for more than a century.

Catalina is from Romania and studied for a degree there before moving to Southampton and completing a masters’ degree in marketing management.

Dane is studying for a degree in marketing and communications and said: “I’m from Bournemouth and have always used Yellow Buses.

“After two years of the course I had to do a placement year and I saw the role advertised on the Bournemouth University careers hub.

“It was perfect and I am now putting into practice what I have learned.”

Catalina said: “I completed a marketing and communications degree in Romania but wanted to do something outside my comfort zone, so I moved here to complete a masters degree.

“I’m very excited to be at Yellow Buses for the year; it’s very challenging but I’m enjoying building relationships internally and externally and helping work on projects.”

Fiona Harwood, marketing sales manager, said: “Having Dane and Catalina work with us for the next year means we will accomplish a lot more.

“Both are talented self-starters and already have made a great difference.”
