Launch of bright private hire business

Yellow Buses, the Bournemouth-based operator, has launched a new, private hire coach service.

Yellow Coaches currently has ten luxury vehicles that are based at its Yeomans Way depot behind the Castlepoint shopping centre.

Already the new business has a number of repeat customers and is now looking to develop further.

The coaches carry between 48 and 53 passengers each and include disabled access, toilet and washroom facilities, air conditioning, CCTV security cameras and phone chargers.

Mike Collins, coach manager, said: “We are benefiting from having the infrastructure of a large bus company behind us.

“This includes the depot where our coaches are maintained by our own staff and where we have a giant washing machine for our vehicles.

“We also have some very experienced drivers who understand what customers require and expect.

“Clients so far include football supporters’ groups, language schools and other local organisations.

“There has also been a lot of repeat custom which is the best endorsement we can have.

“The response to the new service has been extremely positive and has led to us developing a larger fleet more quickly than anticipated.”
