A Bournemouth-based charity is appealing for donations of ladies shoes as it prepares to host a special ‘One Night Party Shoe Shop’.

The event, to be held by Round Table Children’s Wish at The Best Western Hotel Royale on Thursday 22nd September from 7:30pm, will see a variety of ladies’ party-style shoes go up for sale.

Proceeds will go towards granting handcrafted wishes such as trips to Disneyland Paris, tech gifts or meet-the-celebrity days for children aged four to 17 with life-threatening illnesses.

Round Table Children’s Wish (RTCW) fundraising officer, Samantha Read, is looking for a large range of shoe donations and more ticket sales to fund as many gifts as possible.

She said: “It promises to be a fun-filled evening and we’d like a good assortment of ladies’ party shoes like stilettos and strappy sandals that are in a good, clean condition.

“Ideally we would welcome donations to our headquarters but depending on locality we may drop by and make collections too.”

In addition to the sale of the new and nearly new shoes, other attractions at the event include a silent auction, charity raffle and various shopping stalls.

Guests will have the chance to browse different stalls throughout the night and the charity is keen to have a wide selection of retailers exhibiting.

“We’d like a variety of stallholders really, not necessarily shoe related. We’re looking for clothing, jewellery, handbag, confectionary and gift stalls plus a few others so if anyone is interested in setting up a stall, please contact us,” Samantha said.

Tickets cost £5 in advance or £6 on the door and can also be purchased via the Just Giving page below, with guests receiving a glass of wine or a soft drink on arrival.

Shoe donations can be dropped off to the charity at 857 Wimborne Road, Bournemouth, or by calling 01202 514515 or emailing samantha@rtcw.org
