Berry Recruitment appoints new south-west regional manager

Katy Thomas

Berry Recruitment has appointed award-winning Katy Thomas as its new regional manager across the south-west.

With seven years’ experience at the company Katy will oversee the Cornwall, Devon and South Wales’ operations.

She plans to grow the established branches in Truro, Exeter and Newport in terms of turnover and head-count.

The south-west area, which also includes Bristol, covers temporary and permanent employment in multiple sectors.

Katy said: “We have three great branches in the south-west with our Wales branch moving recently from Cardiff to Newport.

“One area of growth is construction; we are receiving more and more instructions in this sector.

“Construction an industry that is an indicator of an economy, so contrary to what you hear, the south-west economy is looking resilient.

“We are still seeing a shortage of candidates and our aim is to continue recruiting them by offering them well paid roles to which they are well suited.

“We recruit in the industrial, driving , factory, warehouse, manufacturing and cleaning sectors, as well as in office and professional services.

“Being part of a large group means we benefit from all that experience and knowledge as well as Berry Recruitment’s in-house training which is excellent.

“Our consultants are experienced in the region and in their specific areas and our clients appreciate that.

“We want to grow the number of staff in our branches and continue to develop the business in Bristol and surrounding area.

“Berry Recruitment also has a new app that will ultimately be rolled out in the south-west, and this will further improve the service we can offer to clients and candidates.”

Berry Recruitment is part of Berry Recruitment Group (BRG) which works from nearly 40 branches across England and Wales.
