Matt Sewell and John Wright who have joined C3IA Solutions
Leading cyber-security company C3IA Solutions has reinforced its ranks by recruiting two military veterans with more than 60 years’ service between them.
The battle-hardened duo have vast experience in managing communications and cyber security.
John Wright spent 37 years with the Royal Signals as a soldier and officer and served on many tours including those in Iraq, Kosovo, and Afghanistan.
Latterly he was directing the Battlespace Technology MSc course at the UK Defence Academy.
Matt Sewell has had a 25 -year career within the military, as a Royal Marine and in various roles including most recently as the Defence Cyber Operations Warrant Officer overseeing the Royal Navy’s cyber protection teams.
C3IA Solutions, headquartered in Poole, Dorset, was among the first businesses to be certified by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and works across the public and private sectors.
Despite a dearth of qualified people in the industry it is able recruit top cyber talent because of its links to the military.
John said: “C3IA is well known within the Royal Signals and its links to the military mean the transition to life in the private sector after 37 years was not as difficult as it might have been.
“The company is regarded as being extremely professional and I am very much looking forward to a new challenge.”
Matt, who lives in Poole, said: “I will be working on military projects so will maintain a strong connection with the services.
“Moving to C3IA was not a difficult decision once I had decided to leave the military; it is a growing business with a fine reputation.”
