A Dorset funeral group has raised just shy of £7,000 for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA). Douch Family Funeral Directors presented a cheque to the charity that needs to raise £5m a year.

Dorset-based Wessex Group has donated more than £6,000 to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance after staff raised the amount through a series of events. Dan Jacobs, an electrician from the firm who had a family member saved by the helicopter and its crew, nominated the charity.
