A charity which grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses is flagging up a fundraising golf day.
Round Table Children’s Wish is looking for teams of golfers to tee off at Dudsbury Golf Club in Ferndown on August 16 to help boost the charity’s funds.
The day kicks off with a bacon bap and coffee on arrival followed by 18 holes of golf. There will be prizes for first, second and third place winners, plus entry into two competitions for nearest the pin and longest drive.
The golf is followed by a two-course dinner and there are also fantastic prizes up for grabs in an auction and raffle.
All this costs just £230 per team of four golfers and all the money raised will help the charity’s work granting wishes to poorly children aged between four and 17.
Over the last 30 years Round Table Children’s Wish, which is based in Bournemouth, has helped make wishes come true for many youngsters and their families all over the country.
A dedicated wish co-ordinator takes care of every detail to ensure each child gets the wish of their dreams, whether it’s meeting a hero, going on holiday with their family, or a special gift.
Round Table Children’s Wish fundraising officer Samantha Read said: “We’re really looking forward to a great day of golf at Dudsbury – this year’s event will be our fourth there.
“Get a team together and come and join us – it’s for a great cause and we rely wholly on fundraising events like this to fund the wishes for our children.”
