Make tracks to the Tank Museum for a Christmas weekend

50 crafters will be at the Tank Museum on November 19/20

There will be more to Dorset’s Tank Museum than ever on November 19 and 20 when it will host a giant Christmas Fair for the weekend.

Around 50 local ‘Etsy’ crafters will be showing off and selling their wares – and there will be live music through both days.

Santa will be swapping his sleigh for a tank and children can also enjoy the ‘Frank on a Tank’ Christmas trail.

Festive food and drink will be available and everything is included in the entry price and it’s all free to those with an annual pass to the Bovington museum.

Rosanna Dean, Visitor Experience General Manager who organised ‘A Dorset Christmas’ said: “Visitors will not only get all the usual experiences of the multi award-winning museum – but can get in some Christmas shopping too.

“We have partnered with Dorset’s crafters who sell through the ‘Etsy’ saleroom online.

“We have done it before but this year we pushed the boat out and we have a great variety of stall-holders.

“There will be people selling candles, home décor, stationery, ceramics, jewellery, liqueurs, wines, art, glass, accessories, crystals, and much more besides.

“As well as that our award-winning museum shop will be open and it sells everything that a tank enthusiast could want.

“A full programme of musical entertainment is running both days and will include choirs, vintage numbers, piano recitals and the Wareham Town Band.

“Children can watch Santa arrive on a tank and there is a special trail for them to follow.

“By visiting the museum not only will people be supporting us, but will be helping to support local crafters.”
