Yellow Buses has appointed Amylee Foot as its new marketing executive – after she completed a year’s placement from Bournemouth University.

It is the first major appointment since the company was bought out by its management team after 14 years under French ownership.

Amylee, whose mum and dad are both employed at the Bournemouth-based business, will be working under Fiona Harwood, the marketing sales manager.

The marketing department has picked up numerous awards over the years and the new owners are keen to continue the success.

Amylee spent a period with the Yellows in 2016 during the first year of her marketing degree course.

She said: “It is an exciting time to secure a full-time role here because of the new ownership and their vision for the company.

“I have spent two spells at the marketing department since I started university so I am extremely familiar with the work and the ethos.

“My parents both work here in different departments so I’ve known for some years what a great company it is.

“I am looking forward to helping Yellow Buses continue to develop and I know there are a lot of exciting ideas in the pipeline.”

Fiona Harwood said: “I’m delighted Amylee is joining us although she has been here for a year so it doesn’t feel like a new appointment.

“The marketing team has some great people and we are all very much looking forward to the future.”
