Yellow Buses plays central role in new Christmas attraction

Yellow Buses – and its Buster Bear mascot – is playing a leading role in what is set to become one of the UK’s top Christmas attractions.

Tens of thousands of people flocked to Bournemouth to see the resort’s new Christmas Tree Wonderland open to rave reviews.

The spectacle in the Bournemouth Lower Gardens features more than 100 trees of different shapes and sizes, with some themed from around the world.

It includes a Tree of Light and canopy of cascading lights as well as the centrepiece, the Bournemouth Wonderland Tree, which stands 60ft tall and is decorated with 30,000 LED lights.

In total the attraction boasts more than half a million lights and has already been described as the South Coast’s answer to the Blackpool Illuminations.

Yellow Buses is the exclusive transport provider for the Christmas Tree Wonderland for the next four years and played a central role in the lights switch-on, broadcast live on ITV Meridian.

TV reporter Stacey Poole and her film crew were based on a Yellow Buses’ illuminated open-topper while Buster Bear assisted on stage with the lights switch-on.

Yellow Buses is also running weekly two-hour VIP open-topper tours of Bournemouth Christmas Tree Wonderland and the Christmas lights in neighbouring Boscombe, Southbourne and Westbourne.

It has also launched a ‘Buster’s Christmas Cracker’ ticket, offering unlimited travel for up to five people after 5pm across the Yellow Buses’ network for just £6.
