Businesses can count on a wealth of information about funding for growth at the May Granby Business Breakfast in Weymouth with Battens Solicitors.

Dan Williams and Jeremy Weekes from Lloyds Bank will give the main presentation at the event on Tuesday May 24 at Weymouth Football Club from 7am to 8.30am.

Their presentation – entitled Cash is King: working capital making or breaking your business – will focus on the options available to fund the growth of a business.

Dan, who is Lloyds’ commercial finance regional manager, and Jeremy, who is commercial manager for West Dorset, say their presentation will appeal to anyone seeking funding to develop their business and increase profits.

Jon Dobson, Solicitor-Advocate at the Granby office of Battens Solicitors, which hosts the monthly breakfasts, said: “We are looking forward to a particularly valuable and informative May business breakfast with Dan and Jeremy.

“With funding and working capital a perennial issue for businesses, this is an opportunity to gain expert insight first hand and ask questions.

“There will also be the chance to network with other local businesses from all areas to discover new opportunities that can help your business thrive.”

Cherise Luke-Bennett, Senior Associate Solicitor at Battens, added: “The feedback we have received about the breakfasts is that they are interesting and enjoyable with valuable advice and information.

“We’re expecting another well attended event and would encourage people to sign up soon.”

The next Granby Business Breakfast has been brought forward to Tuesday May 24 because of the Bank Holiday.

There will again be ample time for networking before the speakers at the friendly, informal event.

There will also be short presentations in the Meet the Neighbour initiative, including The Pet Experience and Granby Diner, which provides the event’s high quality breakfast.

Battens Solicitors, which has an office on the estate’s Oxford Court, launched the Granby Business Breakfast in January of this year supported by Weymouth and Portland Chamber of Commerce.

Businesses attending the breakfast include couriers, printers, bankers, surveyors, manufacturers, accountants and equipment hire companies.

It includes a hot buffet breakfast and the cost is £8.
