One of Britain’s leading direct marketing associations is utilising innovative technology developed by a Hampshire digital agency to transform its busy reception area.
The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) is using the wholly GDPR compliant e-Reception Book created by MediaBase Direct (MBD) at its London headquarters.
With a network of more than 1,000 companies across the UK, the DMA has a huge footfall at its well-used Fitzrovia base just off Oxford Street in London.
So the organisation turned to MBD to come up with a solution to understand who is coming into the building and utilising the member space.
MBD’s fast-growing, easily-installed and customisable, tablet-based, fully confidential e-Reception Book by LEADR app has replaced the traditional, non-compliant visitors’ book in reception areas across the country.
DMA Head of Membership Tej Daffu said: “We were impressed with the MBD team when they came to demonstrate e-Reception Book – and with the product itself.
“We have now been using it for six months and after a full evaluation I can safely say that it saves time, is simple to use and has made life easier for our hard-pressed receptionists.
“There is a lot of traffic through our reception because as well as visitors and contractors, many of our members choose to use our facilities in which to work when they are in London.
“Having an electronic signing-in process means we are much more organised and know exactly who is in building, who is visiting who and who has left – just by looking at the dashboard.”
The DMA offers its members access to research, free legal advice, political lobbying and industry guidance. The association represents a data-driven industry that’s leading the business sector in creativity and innovation. It gives the industry best-practice guidelines, legal updates and a code that puts the customer at the heart of businesses.
The e-Reception Book app – available in three different versions – invites visitors to sign in, and then sends a welcome email with vital, customisable data such as fire and safety information. After the visitor signs out a ‘thank you for coming’ email is generated.
MBD head of product Daniel Jain said: “Our e-Reception Book is becoming indispensible for businesses who must meet strict new EU data protection legislation criteria.
“We have worked hard to produce this app to ensure all data capture is fully GDPR compliant and opt-in friendly – making cumbersome and expensive visitor books obsolete.
“Customers also benefit through data conversion to actionable information via fully automated intelligent email alerts, fast email cleaning, intelligent screening and fast validation processes – boosting awareness and response rates.
Daniel added: “Helping hundreds of companies move from paper-based capture forms to using our LEADR Data Capture app to compliantly meet with the constantly changing data protection legislation has been one of our biggest achievements to date.
