The leader of a Dorset business is to climb the highest peak in the country to raise money for charities his later father supported. Nick Douch is also taking wife Donna and daughters Lakeisha and Tamika to the summit of Scafell Pike in the Lake District.

A Bournemouth-based charity that was launched a decade ago to help military veterans has been presented with a cheque for £400 from AE Jolliffe & Sons funeral directors which is part of the Douch Family Funeral Directors group.

Staff at a Wimborne business have raised more than £1,000 for University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity – and every penny raised will go towards the Ladybird Breast Unit at Poole Hospital. Funeral Director Amy Turvey and colleagues at Douch & Small funeral directors carried out a number of events to raise the money.

BRG’s MD helps raise £5,000

The Managing Director of the national Berry Recruitment Group (BRG) and two staff cycled more than 100 miles to raise money for the Royal Marsden Hospital. Chris Chown, Beth Sarson and Jade Smith chose the cancer charity because it was where Tony Berry, BRG’s founder and chairman, received treatment before he passed away last year.

Taxi for charity

A group of businessmen that has raised £400,000 for charity since 2011 has embarked on its latest fundraiser – and you won’t be able to miss it. The BC Club, based in Bournemouth and Poole, acquired a London black cab and each member will have to drive it for a week, with the aim of raising more than £15,000.
